Texted it straight away and confirmed to purchase the particular clock. Got text back ‘Hi, yes that’s correct. Thank you’. That was Tues… waited, waited. Texted Thurs morning asking where payment instructions were for agreed purchase. Text back saying ‘Hi, it’s been sold’. What the …?My partner called to see why they sold it to someone else. Guy got his boss on the phone. Here is where their customer service & basic respect of having a conversation went to quite a disgusting level. My partner tried repeatedly to say we had an agreement for purchase. Guy said you didn’t pay, we sold it to someone else. Kept trying to say we followed instructions but never contacted so we could make payment. He got irrate, annoyed, did not see the point in the conversation and got ruder & more abrupt to not let my partner speak.My partner wanted a simple apology that they messed up on their end, he refused. He said only if we’d paid and he’d sold it elsewhere would he apologise. Hmm … so I verrry calmly got on the phone, tried to reason that an agreement was made on the phone and text for this purchase. He just got angrier, saw no point in our conversation as ‘the clock is ‘sold’. Said it over and over. Ahhh yeah, we got that. But how about you address your error in how you conducted this purchase where we wanted to pay on the day but were told to just text address and wait for payment details. He absolutely refused to let me finish a sentence, super aggressive, foul temper, could not care less at how he was speaking to me or how badly he was making his company look. In hindsight perhaps we dodged a bullet with the very low price and the lack of recourse if the funds recipient of PayID is not a known or trusted entity. Sad to see such awful customer care that could have been a successful purchase frim the good faith I had in verbal & text agreement to purchase.Response from the ownerI wasn't rude towards you simply just told you that it's sold because you didn't put a deposit so, in this way I can't uphold it for you, that's how it works. Received the diff and it was incorrect. i had to drive out personally to return and collect the correct diff. I was assured i would be 'looked after' for my troubles of being screwed around all day. so when i get there the guy Ali said he did me a favor just by serving me at 8am and that he would look after me next time.
